Concours belongs at Stanford

Dear Editor: I write to request that Stanford University reverse its decision to cancel the Concours d'Elegance. This event not only entertains many, but also shows a kinder side of Stanford and should be used as a positive for the university, not a negative, nike air jordan.

The Concurs entertains thousands and raises lots of money for local charities,Doudoune Moncler. Stanford has an implied duty to help the local community and this is a way to accomplish this without any costs. The public provides millions of dollars in retail revenue that Stanford participates in and has just approved the new hospital, which will end up being branded Stanford Hospital. This facility will be known around the world and be great publicity. What about giving back to the locals,Moncler Outlet?

Stanford, don't try to tell us that the two days of the Concours disrupts the university in any way,Giubbotti Moncler.

Keep those black cans

Dear Editor: Thanks so much for Diana Diamond's Oct. 4 column on the garbage cans. I totally agree. Who has the time or wants to separate their garbage into blue and green cans? Yuck! Another birdbrained idea.

Let's keep our little black cans.

Dirty bus station

Dear Editor: Whichever is the responsible agency, could we please get it to clean up the bus station in Palo Alto? Every morning when I run from the train to catch my shuttle, I not only have to stumble across homeless people but also step around disgusting puddles and gnawed bones and other debris to get to the bus. And while one can't smoke at the train station, there seems to be no prohibition against smoking at the bus terminal,Moncler Outlet.

It is sad that we have such a population of homeless people. Can we do something to help the homeless so they don't need to encamp there,http://www.airjordanpascherrfr4.com/?

Meanwhile, please, can something be done on an ongoing basis to keep the bus terminal area clean?

The debate

Dear Editor: Mitt Romney looked and sounded like a man ready, willing and able to lead a nation in crisis. Barack Obama looked and sounded like a man ready for retirement so that he can write his third autobiography, air jordan pas cher.

Iran's nukes

Dear Editor: Jagjit Singh's deceptive Oct. 3 letter strikes a new low in using false reports that have been refuted as evidence for his arguments. The CIA National Intelligence Estimate did not state unequivocally that Iran abandoned its flirtation with a nuclear weapon in 2003, only that the CIA had no evidence that Iran was working on a trigger mechanism, for which the CIA now says it has such evidence,Moncler Outlet. Plus, the International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors now report plenty of evidence of the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

Iran is developing a nuclear weapon to threaten the world, moncler pas cher.
